Product Description

NVivo

NVivo is software that supports qualitative and mixed methods research. It lets you collect, organise and analyse content from text, images, video, audio, emails, spreadsheets, online surveys, web and social media data in virtually any language. The QSR NVivo Chest Agreement 2017 offers two elements, NVivo and NVivo for Teams (previously known as NVivo Server).

New to NVivo? Visit the NVivo Customer Success Centre - there's something for everyone. In particular, the NVivo 12 Getting Started tutorials were built with those totally new to NVivo in mind. And Research Ready helps all users get their research prepared to prevent issues with importing and coding once in NVivo.

There are two levels of NVivo 12 (Windows) available, Pro and Plus, as well as NVivo 12 Mac.

NVivo 12 Pro supports the widest range of data sources. Ask complex questions of your data with advanced data management, query and visualization tools.

NVivo 12 Plus offers all the functionality of NVivo 12 Pro for Windows, plus, powerful social network and research automation tools for deeper understanding of social themes and sentiments.

Built specifically for Mac users, NVivo 12 Mac is the best native Mac application for qualitative and mixed-methods data analysis allowing you to unlock insights from large volumes of research data.

Visit NVivo Products for more information on NVivo 12 Pro, NVivo 12 Plus and NVivo 12 Mac.

NVivo for Teams

NVivo for Teams is a server-side application that manages NVivo for Windows projects in a centralized database repository—allowing users to work on the same project at the same time. NVivo for Teams, also known as NVivo Server, can help your organization to:

  • Streamline project management—users can store all NVivo projects in a central database repository on NVivo Server. You can monitor, maintain, backup and keep track of all projects in one secure location.
  • Promote collaboration—team members can work in the same project at the same time, and see each other's updates as they work. To speed things up, large sources such as datasets can be analyzed by multiple researchers at once.
  • Enhance security—role-based permissions cater for different levels of server access. Specified users (or groups) can create new projects while others can only view and edit existing projects. In individual projects, Project Owners can assign user roles to control access. Users access the server using authenticated Windows login credentials.
  • Work with small or large projects—NVivo Server projects, unlike standalone NVivo 11 for Windows projects, can be larger than 10GB—project size is only limited by available storage capacity.
  • Setup and manage user access with the easy-to-use browser-based NVivo Server Manager.

NVivo Plus FE Classroom Licence

The NVivo Plus FE Classroom Licence is a one or three year licence that entitles your institution to:

  • Install NVivo Plus on up to 20 named machines in one classroom or lab;
  • Put two staff members through an NVivo certification course;
  • Provide students with access to purchase their own copy of NVivo at 10% off standard education pricing.

NVivo Certification Program

Your NVivo Chest Agreement now includes two credits per licence year to enable nominated staff members to train to become NVivo Certified Experts through the Licensor’s NVivo Certification program. These two credits per Licence Year are included in the Fee; there is no additional charge for them.

Service and Support

Trials

Product Documentation

  • A wide range of materials to assist Network Administrators and users can be found at the QSR Technical Resource Centre.
  • Tutorials are animated demonstrations that show users how to create and set up a project. They're built into the software and can be accessed from the Help menu or from the QSR website.
  • The software's 'Help' section contains an overview of the QSR product and detailed step-by-step 'how to' instructions for working with the software. Again, this information can be accessed from the Help menu in the software.
  • Communicate with other QSR software users in QSR's Forum.
  • Refer to the QSR website for frequently asked questions and answers (FAQs) about NVivo.

Training and Training Materials

QSR can put organisations in touch with an expert team of trainers and consultants to help users get the most out of their QSR software. A range of services can be provided, from one-on-one consulting to group workshops on site. These services are not included in the Chest agreement and are provided for an additional fee.
