Eligible Institutions

This framework is only available to Further and Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Schools and academy trusts with schools in are precluded.

Agreement Details

The Chest Microsoft Master EES Agreement opens up the preferential pricing that may be obtained by sites with over 3,000 FTE Staff under EES to all sites regardless of FTE count. This represents a saving of around 7% for Desktop Campus, Office, Core CAL, Enterprise CAL and Windows Upgrade licences for sites with more 1,000 FTE and around 17% for Institution with less than 1,000 FTE Staff.

Chest has contracted with the resellers for this agreement under the National Framework for Software Resellers to allow all the Community to enjoy the benefits of aggregated purchasing. Your responsibilities under this agreement are otherwise unchanged from signing an agreement directly with Microsoft. You are not jointly responsible for the actions of any other participant site.

Products and Pricing

This is a three year agreement running from 1 November 2016 to 31 October 2019. If your current EES Agreement renews before 30 June 2018, your new contract will run for either one or three years. After 30 June 2018, you may only choose the one year option.

The advantage of choosing the three year option is that prices will be fixed for the three years.

For sites that pay the whole Chest fee for three years up-front on joining there will be a 20% discount.

Payment terms

Chest is an Enterprise of Jisc. All Purchase orders must be made out to JISC, One Castlepark, Tower Hill, Bristol, BS2 0JA

Payments are due within thirty days of invoice date; recipients of late payments are entitled to interest in accordance with UK statutory provisions.
