Important Dates

Licence dates: Subscription Licences are co-terminus with the agreement, and subsequent invoices are sent on or after 1 October.

One time licences are in perpetuity.

VAT

From 1 May 2020:

• Zero rate VAT applies to IGI Global eBooks

Commitment Period

This Agreement is of 3 years duration. Institutions may join the agreement at any time during the agreement period. If a subscription is taken they will then be committed to the end of the Agreement Period unless they have exercised the opt out clause by giving appropriate notice to Eduserv.

Eligible Institutions

Universities, colleges and other learning, educational and research bodies in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Other organisations aligned with Jisc’s charitable objectives of supporting education, research bodies and the public sector may ask to participate in the Agreement. Chest will liaise with the Supplier about any such requests.

Product Description

The InfoSci-Books Database is a collection of all 4,000+ IGI Global single and multi-volume reference books, handbooks of research, and encyclopedias, encompassing groundbreaking research from prominent experts worldwide. These books are highly cited and currently recognized in prestigious indices such as: Scopus® and Web of Science™. The advanced platform offers unlimited access and full-text searching capabilities with no DRM. Users can search for titles across 11 core subject areas:

1. Annual subscription (retaining the rights to titles produced within the year subscribed)
2. Perpetual purchase (buying outright rights to titles within the collection up to and including year of purchase)

In addition institutions will receive complimentary access to IGI Global video in the same subject collection purchased – you will not however retain the rights in perpetuity to these.

Alterations/Additions

All additions and new functionality will be incorporated at no additional charge or subscriptions.
