Master’s Engineering Students at the University of Manchester Prefer Maple T.A. to Traditional Assessment Methods
The Master of Science program in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Manchester features units that take place over a short time period, such as the State-Space and Multivariable Control unit. Dr. Joaquin Carrasco needed to find a way to grade quizzes and return them to students, with feedback, as quickly as possible so the material was still fresh in their minds.

Hosted Servers. Other than inclusive home use for up to 100 lecturers, the Licence Agreement excludes home use of the Software on personal computers so hosted installations cannot allow this use, unless the Student & Staff Distribution/Virtualisation Extension has been purchased by the Licensee.
File Servers. You may install the Software on computer file server(s) within your internal network for use of the Software initiated by an individual from a computer within the same internal network only (that is, not VPN or remotely accessible). If the Student Distribution Extension has not been purchased then students may purchase a Personal Licence for £75 (excluding delivery and VAT) directly from Maplesoft.
Academic staff can apply for a free home use licence for Maple and the Maple Toolboxes by applying to Maplesoft who will issue a single user Purchase Code.

|Large||1-4 and all Research Councils|
|Medium||5A, 5B, 6|
|Associate Sites||Variable on request|
In the Republic of Ireland universities and third Level colleges have been placed in similar bands based on their full time equivalent student numbers. See: Ireland Price Bands.
Licences commence for 3 years from the date of countersignature of the licence by Maple.
The Chest fee is £300 plus VAT per annum or £810 if all three years are paid upfront (no banding).
Pricing is fixed for three years of a site's licence and for the first three years of the agreement. However, Maplesoft has a right of review of pricing three years in to the agreement; in this case prices may rise but by no more than compound inflation.
Payment terms are shown at the bottom of the page.
