Subscribe to Hoover’s Online, a web based global business database providing insight into 85 million companies, 100 million contacts, and 900 industry segments. It combines Dun and & Bradstreet data from their Global Database as well as Hoover’s content and data from other sources.
Agreement start: 1 November 2012
Agreement end: 31 October 2019
Concurrent user licence (1,000 per institution).
This Agreement has been renewed until 31 October 2019 following the previous period. Institutions may join the agreement at any time during the agreement period. They will then be committed to one or two years from the date of issue of the Licence even if this means the Licence will expire some time after the Agreement has ended.

Higher and Further Education and Research Councils in the United Kingdom, and to Universities and Colleges of Further Education in the Republic of Ireland.
Other organisations aligned with Jisc’s charitable objectives of supporting education, research bodies and the public sector may ask to participate in the Agreement. Chest will liaise with the Supplier about any such requests.
This agreement was negotiated at the request of the Chest Business Focus Group.

Hoover’s Online is a web based tool aimed at those who need insight on industries, companies and the people that lead them. It combines D&B data from their Global Database as well as Hoover’s content and data from other sources to deliver a number of features which deliver real value.

Hoovers has a support centre online that is fully accessible for the users, once logged in, which contains Frequently Asked Questions, a Glossary and Product Overview as well as Webinars and Podcasts.
During office hours 8.30am to 5.30pm Mon to Fri users can also contact customer support on 0845 145 1700. Customer Support can also be emailed as well. The response time to emailed enquiries is normally within 24 hours.
Comprehensive help files are included in the online service.
Copying of hardcopy and electronic documentation is permitted.
Making copies of training materials for teaching purposes is permitted.
The Chest Order, together with the Licence Terms and Conditions, and any exceptions listed below, create a legally binding contract between your institution, organisation or company and the Licensor. Therefore please read the terms and conditions carefully and only submit a Chest Order if its terms and conditions are acceptable to your institution, organisation or company and you have the authority to make the financial commitment shown.

Licences run for 12 or 24 months from signing.
Licence extensions for Extended Educational Purposes and Commercial Projects are not available.
On receipt of a completed Order and signed Master Licence, Institutions will be invoiced for the Licence year in which the Licence is signed.
If you have signed a two year licence you will be invoiced in the subsequent three months in advance of the anniversary date of your licence.
There is no pro-rata charging.

Chest is an Enterprise of Jisc. All Purchase orders must be made out to JISC, One Castlepark, Tower Hill, Bristol, BS2 0JA
Payments are due within thirty days of invoice date; recipients of late payments are entitled to interest in accordance with UK statutory provisions.
