Invoice Date: In years subsequent to the initial invoice Institutions will be invoiced three months in advance of the anniversary date of the Agreement, on 1 May 2024 and 2025.
Single year commitments will renew automatically unless cancellation notice has been given before 1 May 2024 or 2025.

Site Licence
This Agreement is of 3 years duration. Institutions may join the agreement at any time during the agreement period. They will then be committed to the end of the Agreement Period unless they have taken a single year commitment AND provided appropriate cancellation notice.
Universities, colleges and other learning, educational and research bodies in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Other organisations aligned with Jisc’s charitable objectives of supporting education, research bodies and the public sector may ask to participate in the Agreement. Chest will liaise with the Supplier about any such requests.

The Chest Order, together with the Licence Terms and Conditions, and any exceptions listed below, create a legally binding contract between your institution, organisation or company and the Licensor. This agreement is not based on Standard Chest Agreement terms and conditions.
Please make sure you read and accept the relevant APA's licence terms. As you are subscribing for the first time you should submit your order and complete the appropriate licence form(s) and send it to APA. Instructions are given on the forms.
There is one exception to these licence terms listed at the bottom of this page.
On receipt of a completed Order, Institutions will be invoiced for the Agreement year in which the Licence is signed.

If you choose APA PscNET as your service provider the annual fees are in USD $. Jisc will invoice in USD $ for both data and service provision. You should submit one PO to cover both.
If you choose EBSCO, Ovid Technologies or ProQuest as your Service Provider the annual fees are in GBP £. Jisc will invoice in GBP £ for service provision and in USD$ for your data. You must submit two POs, one in GBP to cover Service Provision and the second in USD $ to cover your data fees.
If you use more than one Service Provider, for example, you might access PsycArticles/PsycInfo on the Proquest platform and PsycTherapy on APA PsycNet platform, then select your main Service Provider and let Chest Help know which SP you want to use for PsycTherapy. Jisc will invoice as appropriate.
Your invoices will use the PO Number(s) that you provide. In subsequent years it is your responsibility to send new PO details, if required, to Chest Help before 1 May.
There is monthly pro-rata charging for Institutions which become licensed partway through a licence year.
Chest is an Enterprise of Jisc. All Purchase orders must be made out to All Purchase orders must be made out to Jisc Services Ltd, 4 Portwall Lane, Bristol, BS1 6NB.
All terms contained in a PO are expressly rejected and do not form part of the Licence or vary the Licence terms in any way.
Payments are due within thirty days of invoice date; recipients of late payments are entitled to interest in accordance with UK statutory provisions.

Exclusions
Material downloaded under the agreement before its expiry may continue to be used under the same licence conditions as pertain while the agreement exists.
Institutions retain the rights to material produced during the years to which they subscribed. There will be an access fee payable in the event this option is exercised.
Opt out rights and notice period
Those choosing the single year commitment have the right to opt out of the agreement on 31 July 2024 or 31 July 2025 by giving notice of such cancellation on or before 1 May 2024 or 1 May 2025.
Personal licences are not available.
There is one exception to the Licence terms – the applicable law, which now states that the licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Pricing comprises two elements, the Data Fee and the Service Provision Fee.
As you are taking a new product prices are banded, based on student FTE numbers, FTE Counts are taken from the HESA Statistics (the latest available at the time of contracting: 2021/22 Table 2: HE student enrolment FTE by HE provider) or the FE and Ireland equivalent. Institutions, once banded, remain in this band for the duration of the agreement irrespective of whether their actual FTE count changes during that time.
You will be asked during the online order process which main Service Provider you prefer.
If you choose APA PscNET as your Service Provider the annual fees are in USD $. Jisc will invoice in USD $ for both data and service provision. You should submit one PO to cover both.
