The Greenleaf Online Library (GOL) is a focused business and management resource, around responsible management, sustainability and related areas. GOL is an online collection of more than 5000 chapters, articles and case studies drawn from more than 350 books and journal issues, published by Greenleaf Publishing. GOL items are individually discoverable, each with its own DOI (Digital Object Identifier) tag, and metadata, meaning the collection can be searched for chapter content, or browsed by book/journal title. GOL also includes content from the United Nations Global Compact, and the Greenleaf/PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) series.The full GOL title list can be viewed here.

The Sustainable Organization Library (SOL) is a specialist online collection on responsible management, sustainability, ethics, environment and related areas. SOL contains more than 10,000 individual chapters, research reports, case studies and journal articles drawn from nearly 1,000 books and journals. The SOL collection contains all the materials from the Greenleaf Online Library, plus carefully selected content from a number of other publishers, NGOs and partner organizations. Each SOL item is individually discoverable, with its own DOI (Digital Object Identifier) tag and metadata, meaning the collection can be searched by chapter, or browsed by book/journal title. A Sustainable Organization Library (SOL) subscription gives access to the entire SOL collection, plus new material from Greenleaf Publishing and other parties added during the period of the subscription. Access to the full archive is retained as long as the subscription is current.

Alumni access

The Chest Agreement offers access to alumni for an uplift of 10% on perpetual and subscriptions.

Option for Extended Educational Purposes

Licensees may extend their rights as per Annex A (Option for Extended Educational Purposes) of
Schedule 4 (Terms and Condition for the Standard Chest Licence for Online Resources) on payment of
an additional Fee of ten per cent (10%) of the Fee.

Payment Terms

Annual Subscriptions:

On receipt of a completed Order, Institutions will be invoiced for the Agreement year in which the Licence is signed.

In subsequent years, Institutions will be invoiced three months in advance of the anniversary date of the Agreement, on 1 October unless they have given notice to opt out of the agreement in accordance with the licence.

There is monthly pro-rata charging for Institutions which become licensed partway through a licence year.

Outright Purchase

On receipt of a completed Order, Institutions will be invoiced for the total cost of the perpetual purchase.

Purchase orders and terms 

All Purchase Orders must be made out to Eduserv and Eduserv's invoices must be paid within 30 calendar days of the date of the invoice.

Please also note that before completing this Order you should carefully read the Products Specification and Schedule of Fees relating to this Licence Agreement, published on the Eduserv Chest website.

Agreement Period

Agreement start date: 1 January 2016

Agreement end date: 31 December 2018

Institution Commitment Period

Institutions may join the agreement at any time during the agreement period. They will then be committed to the end of the Agreement Period unless they choose to opt out at the next anniversary by giving notice on or before 23 September.

What can authorised users do?

The resources can be used for Educational Purposes:

  • education
  • teaching
  • distance learning
  • private study
  • academic research
  • administration and management of the Licensee’s educational or research operations

Exclusions

  • See Licence Term 3 for exclusions and restrictions
  • The resources may not be used for anything other than Educational Purposes
  • Downloading of large amounts of material by authorised users that might be considered ‘systematic’.

Termination Clauses

Subject to any Fee shown on the Website, the Licensee may retain an electronic copy of the Licensed Material in its archives for reference only. Copies of parts of the Licensed Material already made and/or used by the Licensee or Authorised Users in accordance with clause 2.2 may be retained and used in accordance with the terms of this Licence Agreement.

Institutions may cancel their subscription on any anniversary date provided they have given notice to do so at least 100 days prior to the anniversary.

Outright purchasers retain Archive Rights in perpetuity without additional charge to access the content which they have bought.
